June 8, 2009 — Scott Design takes home two Communicator Awards
The International Academy of the Visual Arts and the Communicator Awards have selected Scott Design as winners of two Awards of Distinction in the 2009 competition.
The Draper Fisher Jurvetson website was awarded an Award of Distinction in the Website Structure and Navigation category. The LogLogic website garnered an Award of Distinction in the Computer Hardware Website category. Both sites were redesigned by Scott Design and each has won numerous awards since launch.
The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. This year’s Communicator Awards received thousands of entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.
May 20, 2009 — Scott Design takes home two Horizon Interactive Awards
An international panel of judges notified Scott Design on Monday that we have won a pair of Bronze prizes in the 2009 Horizon Interactive Awards competition.
Scott Design was recognized in the Business to Business category for its work on the LogLogic website and in the Self-Promotion/Company Identity category for its Scott Design Special Delivery Interactive Web Page Maker.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition that recognizes outstanding achievement among interactive media producers. This year’s competition included entries from 32 countries.
These awards showcase the technical expertise and creativity that we bring to every job. They also show our versatility. The LogLogic project is an example of our team’s serious, driven approach to helping a client set itself apart. The Special Delivery rich internet application shows our fun side. Special Delivery is something we provide free online so that people can mark occasions year-round with really cool online greetings.
The redesign of LogLogic’s website by Scott Design also earned two Silver W3 Awards.
April 29, 2009 — Scott Design wins two Summit International Creative Awards
Scott Design received two prestigious Summit International Creative Awards recognizing its work on Adobe education marketing campaigns.
The Soquel-based firm earned a Summit Silver Award for the “Camp Adobe” online, print, and tradeshow marketing materials for a national education conference. Scott Design also received a Summit Bronze Award for an integrated marketing campaign for Adobe’s Digital School Collection software for K–12 students.
Scott Design previously captured Silicon Valley ADDY Awards for the same two campaigns. “The back-to-back awards in these high-profile competitions makes me very proud of our talented team,” said Kirsti Scott, Creative Director at Scott Design. “Helping our clients succeed is our top priority, of course, but receiving industry recognition is always an honor.”
The Summit International Creative Awards competition included thousands of entries from 26 countries.
March 10, 2009 — Scott Design takes home seven Awards at the Silicon Valley ADDYs
Scott Design was awarded three Silver and four Bronze awards for work created for Adobe Systems, LogLogic, and Draper FIsher Jurvetson at this year’s Silicon Valley ADDY Awards.
Scott Design’s winning entries included two Silver Awards in the B2B Website category for the DFJ and LogLogic websites; a Silver Award in the B2B Campaign category for the Camp Adobe NECC Tradeshow Event Materials; two Bronze Awards in the B2B Campaign category for the Adobe Student Licensing Integrated Campaign and the Adobe Digital School Collection Online Campaign; a Bronze Award in the Brochure category for the Adobe K–12 Solutions Brochure; and a Silver Award in the Interactive Self-Promotion category for the Scott Design Special Delivery Interactive Web Page Maker.
With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world. The American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.
December 2, 2008 — Scott Design wins a Summit Emerging Media Award
Scott Design has been named a Leader Award winner in the 2008 Summit Emerging Media Award competition for its work with Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
The Summit Emerging Media Award was created to identify the world's communication pioneers — those pushing the bounds of the communication badlands. Developing and engaging in emerging media technologies, along with creative messaging and market awareness, often presents difficult and complex challenges, which makes earning a Summit EMA a significant achievement.
October 8, 2008 — Scott Design receives four W3 Awards
The International Academy of the Visual Arts has awarded Scott Design four Silver Awards in the 2008 W3 Awards competition that recognizes outstanding websites, web marketing, and web video worldwide. The competition included more than 3,000 entries from leading interactive agencies, designers, and other creative professionals.
Scott Design received Silver W3 Awards in the Best Structure/Navigation and Computer Hardware Industry categories for its redesign of the LogLogic website.
For its redesign of venture capital leader Draper Fisher Jurvetson’s website, Scott Design received a Silver W3 Award in the Professional Services Industry category.
Scott Design’s Holiday E-mail and Snowbash Game garnered a Silver W3 Award in the Self-Promotion category.
August 19, 2008 — Scott Design launches new website for venture capital leader DFJ
Scott Design launched a new website for Silicon Valley venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson. The website, designed to reflect DFJ’s reputation for innovation and worldwide success, has a sleek interface and advanced functionality that give visitors a clear path to the information they seek.
The website features an innovative concept for presenting DFJ’s global network of funds: Flash-based “cards” that visitors use to gain information about the DFJ team, portfolio, and international locations. The interactive experience is further enhanced by “open” and “close” widgets on the page that let visitors customize the information they see.
Michael Daily, technology director at Scott Design, said: “DFJ’s website now matches its reputation for being an innovator on a global scale. Scott Design designed and produced the Flash-based cards as an easy, efficient, and entertaining way to quickly learn about DFJ.”

July 21, 2008 — Scott Design launches new LogLogic website
The new LogLogic website (www.loglogic.com), designed and developed by Scott Design, was launched today. The website is the most important part of an ambitious rebranding effort to more accurately and effectively present LogLogic as a market leader in Log Management and Intelligence.
Scott Design has worked with LogLogic over the past few months to update its key marketing communications materials, including its corporate PowerPoint presentation, tradeshow graphics, Flash-based solutions overview, and collateral. The culmination of this re-branding effort was the organizing, designing, developing, and launching of the new website, which meets the following key site requirements: easy-to-use navigation; well-organized, relevant content; search engine optimization; customer and partner video testimonials; and worldwide appeal to Enterprise and Mid-Market audiences.
Matt Scott, President of Scott Design, said: “The new LogLogic site includes the vibrancy of a consumer site with the structure of an Enterprise site. Our client didn’t want the typical, conservative Enterprise site, since LogLogic is not the typical, conservative Enterprise organization. LogLogic’s solutions are innovative and exciting, so we felt the website should reflect that.”

May 29, 2008 — Scott Design wins Silver in the Communicator Awards
Scott Design was awarded two Silver Awards of Distinction for two print pieces in the 2008 Communicator Awards.
Scott Design’s winning entries included the Network General Sales Promotion Campaign in the Internal Communications category and the MBARI 20th Anniversary Poster in the Poster category.
The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Founded by communications professionals more than a decade ago, The Communicator Awards received more than 8,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards competitions of its kind in the world.
The Communicator Awards is now being sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative, and marketing firms. May 2, 2008 — Scott Design wins 5 Horizon Interactive Awards
Scott Design was awarded Bronze awards in four different categories for client and self-promotion work.
Scott Design’s winning entries included NatnAlex.com in the Entertainment category, the Scott Design Snowbash Game in the Flash category, the SanDisk Web Banner and Netgear E-mail Templates in the Online Advertising Category, and the Scott Design Holiday E-mail in the Self-Promotion category.
The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers from all over the world. The 2007 competition saw nearly 1,000 entries from all over the world, including nearly all 50 states and many other countries, such as Australia, Canada, Chech Republic, Colombia, Croatia, Germany, Egypt, Spain, France, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, and Taiwan.
April 24, 2008 — Scott Design wins 3 Summit International Awards
Scott Design was awarded Silver and Bronze awards for three print campaigns in this year’s Summit International Awards.
Scott Design’s winning entries included a Silver Award — B2B Print Campaign for the Network General Sales Promotion Campaign; a Silver Award — Best Idea Never Produced for the Kubota China Challenge Campaign; and a Bronze Award — Poster for the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute 20th Anniversary Poster.

April 8, 2008 — Scott Design wins an “Internet Oscar” for the Nat and Alex Wolff website
The Webby Awards, the leading international honor for the Web, today recognized the Nat and Alex Wolff website as an Official Honoree, a distinction that recognizes work exhibiting remarkable achievement.
Hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video, and Mobile Websites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes David Bowie, Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, AKQA Global Creative Director Rei Inamoto, Matt Groening, Jamie Oliver, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf, and RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser.
"The Webby Awards honors the outstanding work that is setting the standards for the Internet,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards. “NatnAlex.com’s Official Honoree selection is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators."
The 12th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from more than 60 countries and all 50 states. Out of more than 10,000 entries submitted, fewer than 15% received the Official Honoree distinction.
April 7, 2008 — Scott Design wins Silver Awards at the District 14 ADDY Awards
Scott Design’s holiday game, “Snowbash,” won a Silver Award for Special Event Materials and for Interactive Piece at the District 14 ADDY Awards. District 14 represents Northern California and Northern Nevada. After winning at the Silicon Valley ADDY level, Scott Design’s holiday card, e-mail, and online game were automatically entered at the District level. ADDY winners at the District level move on the Nationals set for June 2008.
March 15, 2008 — Scott Design takes Best of Show at Silicon Valley ADDY Awards
Scott Design garnered a Best of Show Award, an ADDY Award, and a Gold Award in the Silicon Valley ADDY Awards competition for its online holiday card featuring the interactive game “Snowbash,” in which players test their skills at virtual snowball-tossing. The contest is sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Silicon Valley.
Scott Design also took home a Silver Award for a print campaign promoting a trip to Costa Rica for a company’s top salespeople, a Bronze Award for an interactive website featuring television and recording stars Nat and Alex Wolff, and a Bronze Award for the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute 20th anniversary campaign.
The Silicon Valley winners were announced March 14th at a gala event at Yahoo’s headquarters in Sunnyvale.
October 2007 — Scott Design launches a popular kids’ website
Natnalex.com, the official website of TV stars Nat and Alex Wolff, was launched after a whirlwind of design creativity and programming wizardry. Filled with games, message boards, and information for fans, the site reflects Scott Design’s young-at-heart attitude and energy.
October 2007 — Scott Design crafts a new look for Satmetrix website
Seeking a new look and feel for its website, Satmetrix turned to Scott Design in September 2007. The turnaround was quick, and the results were amazing: The new site launched in October with a unique look that matches the company’s visionary, innovative reputation.
May 2007 — Scott Design earns spot among Silicon Valley elite
The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal named Scott Design one of the top 25 web design firms in Silicon Valley, ranked by number of websites developed in 2006.
