When Scott Design was approached by Get Santa Cruz County Moving 2016 to create a website for a major local transportation ballot issue, we jumped on board quickly, since we fully understood the importance of the measure for both business and way of life in Santa Cruz County. After a meeting on Friday in late August to get an idea of the scope of the site, the advocacy team sent us a flyer and logo, and from that brief information we had a site up and running by the following Monday afternoon.

From then until election day, Scott Design worked with the team to add information, endorsements, press coverage, events, donation functionality, and more. And, by the time election day was done, the measure passed, by more than the super-majority approval of 66.67% it needed to pass.

We created the site in WordPress, customizing it to create a clean design and make it easy to find information on the site. We maintained the site, including adding volunteer signup forms, phone bank and precinct walk events, new videos, and updating the growing list of supporters and partners. Letters to the editor, articles, and press releases were posted daily right up until election day.

We’re proud to have been part of the process to support the projects and programs that will get Santa Cruz County moving for the next thirty years.
